Dozens of Louisiana law enforcement officers and state officials participated in a special program on September 13, 2012 to recognize three fallen officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Officer Russell A. George, Corporal John Ray Kendall, and Sergeant Paul B. Stuckey were each honored posthumously at the 13th Annual Louisiana Law Enforcement Medal of Honor Ceremony hosted by the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement in Baton Rouge. Attorney General Buddy Caldwell addressed the families and comrades of the fallen and participated in the presentation of medals.
