The Louisiana Attorney General’s Office hosted its 9th Annual Consumer Protection Workshop on March 7, 2013, at the Livingston Building in Baton Rouge to educate attendees from across Louisiana about new forms of consumer fraud.

Various experts were brought in to educate consumers on their rights in this era of rapid change. Professionals from the FBI, the Louisiana Office of Financial Institutions, AARP and the Attorney General’s High Technology Crime Unit gave presentations and provided useful information that Louisiana agencies can utilize to protect and educate residents of the state.

The event was held in conjunction with National Consumer Protection Week.
