Baton Rouge Man Arrested for Child Pornography

A Baton Rouge man has been arrested and charged with violating Louisiana statutes against pornography involving juveniles, announced Attorney General Buddy Caldwell.

Richard Wells-Lightsey, 26, of 1516 Sharlo Avenue, was arrested Friday as part of a joint investigation involving the Attorney General’s High Technology Crime and Fugitive Apprehension Units, Homeland Security Investigations, and East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Wells-Lightsey is charged with one count of pornography involving juveniles, a state law forbidding a person to produce, distribute, possess, or possess with the intent to distribute pornography involving juveniles, and one count of unauthorized use of a wireless router system to access pornography involving juveniles. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and could face up to 30 years in prison, if convicted.

To report suspected cases of Internet crime, contact the Attorney General’s High Technology Crime Unit at 1-800-256-4506.
