St. Bernard Parish Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

BATON ROUGE, LA – Attorney General Jeff Landry’s Cyber Crime Unit has arrested a St. Bernard Parish man accused of distributing sexual abuse images and videos of children.

"Child pornography is a horrific crime that repeatedly victimizes children," said Attorney General Landry. "My office will continue doing everything in our authority to find and arrest those that manufacture, distribute, and possess sexual abuse images and videos of children."

Joseph Cooley, 22 of Chalmette, was arrested and charged with five counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles Under the Age of Thirteen (distribution). The arrest was a result of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office.

Cooley was booked into the St. Bernard Parish Jail.
