ROUGE, LA –
Attorney General Jeff Landry’s Cyber Crime Unit has arrested a St. Bernard Parish man accused of distributing sexual abuse images and videos of children.
"Child
pornography is a horrific crime that repeatedly victimizes children," said
Attorney General Landry. "My office will continue doing everything in our authority to find and
arrest those that manufacture, distribute,
and possess sexual
abuse images
and videos of children."
Joseph
Cooley, 22 of Chalmette, was arrested and charged with five counts of
Pornography Involving Juveniles Under the Age of Thirteen (distribution). The
arrest was a result of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Bureau of
Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the St. Bernard Parish
Sheriff's Office.
Cooley
was booked into the St. Bernard Parish Jail.
