This ruling shows what a procedural quagmire we find ourselves in. All we want to do is bring additional, relevant information to the attention of Law Enforcement and the Court. As Judge Elrod states, this is also information that is important to the public.

Upholding their obligations and duties at the Louisiana DOJ to refer alleged criminal activity for investigation and prosecution, attorneys filed a writ of mandamus with the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals requesting the unsealing of information so that a criminal referral can move forward against a staff member at a Shreveport abortion provider.

General Landry: Child pornography is a dreadful crime that inflicts lifelong damage to the victims. I applaud my office and our law enforcement partners for finding and arresting the despicable people who possess, distribute, and produce these horrific sexual abuse images and videos.

General Landry: I would do anything to ensure the safety of my child; and as your Attorney General, I am committed to doing whatever I can to protect all of our State’s children.

General Landry: It is a scary fact, but children are more than twice as likely to be killed by a car while walking on Halloween night than at any other time of the year. It is imperative that parents and guardians be extra vigilant and take the appropriate precautions to make certain their children remain out of harm’s way.

General Landry: Protecting Louisiana children is one of my top priorities. So my office and I will continue to do all we can to find and arrest child predators.

General Landry: The black-market products sold on these platforms may be counterfeit or tainted, sometimes with harmful health effects. So together – Republican and Democrat – we want to solve this problem and make our jurisdictions safer places to live, work, and raise families.
