A Prairieville woman has been arrested by agents with Attorney General Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation on multiple charges.
40-year-old Priscilla Jackson, of Oakview Drive in Prairievile, was arrested on May 8, 2025, for:
- 1 Count of LRS 14.68.2 -- Unauthorized use of SNAP benefits (Felony)
- 1 Count of LRS 14:67(B)(1) – Theft over $25,000 (Felony)
- 1 Count of LRS 14:70.9(4)(5) – Government Benefits Fraud (Felony)
On November 17, 2022, the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation received a criminal referral and case assignment to investigate Priscilla Jackson on behalf of the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) Medicaid benefits regarding allegations of fraud.
During an internal review, LDH Medicaid Recipient Fraud Unit received information alleging Jackson withheld personal information, such as her marriage and her husband’s income, to LDH and the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) for purposes to receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
Jackson underreported her household income, household member, her husband, and did not include his income or the financial support she received from her husband. Jackson provided falsified applications to both LDH and DCFS for benefits. Jackson’s loss amount with each agency is $107,147.01 with LDH, and $19,665 with DCFS, respectively.
According to arrest records, during this time, the Jackson household purchased a Cadillac Escalade for $110,742.05 and paid for a $70,000 pool installation.
Arrest records reveal, "LDH Medicaid Recipient Fraud Unit determined that Jackson and her children would not have been eligible for Medicaid during and to include benefit years: 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, Had Jackson reported her accurate household information along with Reider’s income and marriage, she and the children would not have been eligible for Medicaid coverage. As such, and due to the granted benefits, the State of Louisiana, through the Department of Health, incurred a total loss of approximately $107,147.01."
The Louisiana Department of Health and the Department of Children and Family Services assisted us in this investigation.
Jackson was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
Her present bond was reportedly set at $10,000.
The investigation is ongoing.
