Attorney General Liz Murrill's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit arrests Baton Rouge woman for Cruelty to Persons with Infirmities

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit arrested 34-year-old Megan Ambeau, of Greenchase Drive in Baton Rouge, for a violation of:

  • LA RS 14:93.3 Cruelty to Persons with Infirmities (Felony)
This arrest resulted from an investigation by the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit with the LA Department of Justice. 

According to arrest records, Ambeau hit a woman with intellectual disabilities in the face with such force that it fractured her nose and she was forced to go to the hospital in 2023. Arrest records also reveal that there were other instances of abuse by Ambeau towards the victim that took place at the facility she worked at.

This arrest was part of a large National Health Care Fraud Takedown by the United States Department of Justice which resulted in 324 defendants charged in connection with over $14.6 billion in alleged fraud.

Ambeau was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Her bond was reportedly set at $100,000.00

The investigation is ongoing.
