Lafayette man arrested by AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials

A Lafayette man was arrested by Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation on August 12, 2025.

67-year-old Hebert Durwood Duhon, of E. Bayou Parkway in Lafayette, was arrested for violating:

  • 7 counts of LA R.S.14:81.1E(5)(a) Child sexual abuse materials under the age of thirteen (Felony)

Agents got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which jumpstarted our case.

This arrest was the result of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit, Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations.

Herbert was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center

His bond has been set at $50,000.

The investigation is ongoing.
