Man from West Monroe arrested by AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material
A man from West Monroe was arrested by Attorney General Liz Murrill's Office for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.
On September 10, 2025, Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) agents arrested 21-year-old Verdrell Cardre Wyatt Jr. on Pink Street in West Monroe, Ouachita Parish, for violating:
- LA R.S. 14:81.1 Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (25 Counts)
LBI agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which initiated the investigation.
This arrest was the result of a joint investigation with General Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office, West Monroe Police Department, and the FBI.
Wyatt Jr. was booked into the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center.
"Day or night, if you harm our kids, we're coming for you. I'd like to thank deputies with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office and the Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office, officers with the West Monroe Police Department, and the FBI for their hard work and assistance on this case," said Attorney General Liz Murrill.
His bond has reportedly not been set yet.
The investigation is ongoing.
