Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a man on September 30, 2025, for 80 counts of child sexual abuse material under the age of 13.

43-year-old Daniel Elliot Mason, was arrested for:

• 80 counts: LA R.S 14:81.1E(5)(a)- child sexual abuse material under the age of 13 

Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and the Union Parish Sheriff's Office.

Daniel Elliot Mason was ultimately booked into the Union Parish Detention Center.

His bond has reportedly been set at $800,000.

The investigation is ongoing.
