Former Webster Parish deputy arrested by AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents for Malfeasance in Office and Trespass Against State Computers

A former Webster Parish Sheriff's deputy was arrested by AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents for Malfeasance in Office and Trespass Against State Computers

The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation received a request for assistance from Webster Parish Sheriff Jason Parker regarding allegations of official misconduct involving a former deputy. Sheriff Parker reported that his agency had learned of information indicating that a former Sheriff’s deputy, Detective Spencer White, had allegedly accessed and conducted unauthorized searches of state law enforcement databases to gain personal information about private citizens without a legitimate law enforcement purpose.

During this investigation, LBI agents discovered that former Deputy Spencer White had utilized sensitive state law enforcement databases to query a private citizen's criminal history, DMV records, and other protected information at the request of an out-of-state family member. White searched, printed, and subsequently emailed that private citizen’s protected information from his Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office official email account to his family member.

LBI agents also discovered that the person White queried was classified as a “Protected Person” who was a recent victim of domestic violence battery in Caddo Parish. LBI agents learned this was not an isolated incident as the investigation uncovered a separate matter involving White’s unlawful use of state law enforcement databases to obtain a private citizen’s personal information.

White was fired from the Sheriff's Office after the incident was discovered.

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, former deputy Spencer White was booked without incident at the Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by the 26th Judicial District Court.

He was charged with:

  • LA RS 14:134 Malfeasance in Office (Felony)
  • LA RS 14:73.12 Trespass Against State Computers (Felony) - 2 counts
White's bond has reportedly been set at $15,000 for these charges.

Our investigation is ongoing.
