A man from Baldwin from arrested by AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation on October 29, 2025.

42-year-old Travis Laquan Chavis, of Main Street in Baldwin, was arrested for:

• 12 Counts - 14:81.1 Pornography Involving Juveniles

Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

This arrest resulted from a joint investigation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Baldwin Police Department, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Chitimacha Tribal Police.

Chavis was booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

His bond information is unknown at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
