Attorney General Liz Murrill's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit secured a guilty plea for an Alexandria man who was seen on video picking up a victim and throwing him against a wall at a facility in Pineville dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

On December 18, 2025, 30-year-old Patrick Jackson, of Horseshoe Drive in Alexandria, pled guilty as charged in the 9th JDC to:

  • 1 Count La. R.S. 14:35.2 Simple Battery of Persons with Infirmities

Jackson previously worked at Pinecrest Supports and Services Center in Pineville, LA. He was seen on video picking up the victim and throwing him against the wall, before standing over the victim while yelling. He was arrested for this incident back on August 23, 2023.

Judge Doggett sentenced Jackson, but his sentence was deferred under Art. 894, and he was placed on 6 months of probation supervised by the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, with conditions ordered of $277.50 in court costs, refrain from any criminal conduct, report to probation within 24 hours, and the defendant is excluded from the Medicaid program for 5 years.

This arrest and conviction resulted from an investigation by the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.
