19-year-old arrested by AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation for Indecent Behavior with Juveniles, Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material, and other charges
Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a 19-year-old from Scott for multiple disturbing charges.
19-year-old Luxe Arlen Thomas, or Arceneaux Circle in Scott, was arrested on January 6 in Lafayette Parish for:
- 2 Counts of 14:81.1 -- Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material -- (Felony)
Thomas also has an active arrest warrant out of Acadia Parish stemming from the same investigation for:
- 1 Count of 14:80.1 -- Misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile -- (Misdemeanor)
- 1 Count of 14:81 -- Indecent Behavior with Juveniles -- (Felony)
- 1 Count of 14:130.1 -- Obstruction of Justice -- (Felony)
This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office.
During the course of investigation, Thomas confessed to multiple crimes involving CSAM and other related charges.
Thomas was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on his active Lafayette Parish warrant.
His Lafayette Parish Bond is $20,000 and his Acadia Parish Bond is $30,000.
Thomas was on orders with the Louisiana National Guard in a position assigned to HSI Lafayette. Louisiana National Guard was alerted to the investigation and immediately relieved Thomas of his duties. Louisiana National Guard was fully cooperative during the investigation.
"I'm grateful to our law enforcement partners in continuing to pursue people who are exploiting and abusing children," said Attorney General Liz Murrill.
The investigation is ongoing at this time, and more charges could be pending.
