AG Murrill defending Louisiana's Ten Commandments Law at U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit Court on Tuesday

WHO: Attorney General Liz Murrill and Solicitor General Ben AguiƱaga

WHAT: En banc hearing at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit

WHERE: 600 Camp Street in New Orleans

WHEN: Tuesday, January 18. Argument will start at 1 p.m.

En banc review is rare. It means that all 17 active judges hear the case. Any decision rendered by the full Fifth Circuit would likely be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.

"We believe the law is constitutional, and we look forward to making that case before the Fifth Circuit. Thou shall not kill and thou shall not steal should not be controversial. In fact, the Supreme Court has said that the Ten Commandments have historical significance as one of the foundations of our legal system," said Attorney General Murrill.
