AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrests Sulphur man for 55 counts of Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of 13
Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a man from Sulphur for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of 13.
21-year-old Gavin James Couvillion, of Johnny Jones Road in Sulphur, was arrested on January 21, 2026, for a total of:
- 55 Counts of 14:81.1 E(5)(a) - Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of 13 -- (Felony)
LBI agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Couvillion was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Jail.
His bond has reportedly been set at $550,000.
The investigation is ongoing.
