Former St. Bernard Parish pastor sentenced to maximum prison time of 7 years for Indecent Behavior with Juveniles

A former Pentecostal pastor from St. Bernard Parish was sentenced to seven years in prison on Wednesday, February 11, for molesting a teenage girl about 15 years ago.

A jury found Milton Martin III guilty of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile in mid-December. He's been in custody since he was convicted.

Assistant Attorneys General Barry Milligan and Erica Moore prosecuted the case.

Judge Darren Roy sentenced Martin to the maximum prison time of 7 years for the offense.

Martin will also have to register as a sex offender for 15 years after he is released.

"This just goes to show that we will never stop fighting to protect the children of Louisiana. If you hurt our kids, you will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.  I'd like to thank my Assistant Attorneys General Barry Milligan and Erica Moore for getting justice for this victim," said Attorney General Liz Murrill.
