Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested man from Scott for Child Sexual Abuse Material.

34-year-old Brett Michael Givens, of St. Mary Street in Scott, was arrested on March 8, 2026, for violating:

• 50 Counts of 14:81.1 E(5)(a) -- Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of 13 -- (Felony)  

Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) agents got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which jumpstarted our investigation.

Brett Givens was located and arrested by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division on an active Louisiana Bureau of Investigation warrant.

This arrest was the result of a joint investigation with The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Givens was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

His bond has been set at $50,000.
