Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Arrests Spearsville Man on Possession of CSAM and Sexual Abuse of Animals

Attorney General Liz Murrill announced that the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) arrested a Spearsville man for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of Thirteen and Sexual Abuse of Animals.

The suspect, 24-year-old Gabriel Burton, of Highway 558 in Spearsville, was identified after agents received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Burton was found to be using an online media storage application to store CSAM and Images/Videos of the sexual abuse of animals. The arrest was the result of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Burton was arrested on:

•  2 counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of Thirteen (La. R.S. 14:81.1)

•  9 counts of Sexual Abuse of Animals (La. RS14:89.3)

He was booked into the Union Parish Detention Center on July 15, 2026. Bond was set at $480,000.

The investigation remains ongoing.
