AG Murrill’s Office Arrests Youngsville Man on 50 Counts of Distributing Child Sexual Abuse Material and Animal Sex Abuse Charge
Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a Youngsville man on charges of distribution of child sexual abuse material and sexual abuse of an animal.
40-year-old Jeremy Scott
Bellard, of Gilmore Road in Youngsville, was identified during a proactive
investigation involving the distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
through an online peer-to-peer network.
On August 25, 2026, Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, along with Homeland Security Investigations, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Youngsville Police Department, executed a search warrant at Bellard’s residence. During the search, agents located evidence connecting Bellard to the distribution of child sexual abuse material as well as sexual abuse of animal media.
Bellard was arrested and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:

- Count(s) 50 of 14:81.1(E)(5)(a) Child Sexual Abuse Material under 13 years old (Distribution)
The investigation remains ongoing.
