58-year-old Thomas John-Hanna Saquet, of Freret Street in New Orleans, was arrested on the following charges:

• 233 Count(s) of 14:81.1 E(5)(a)-- Child Sexual abuse material under the age of thirteen (13)
• 3 Count(s) of 14:81.1-- Child Sexual abuse materials

 On 8-27-2026, Thomas Saquet was taken into custody in Jefferson Parish, charging him with violations for possession of child sexual abuse material in Orleans Parish. Further investigation into the activities of Saquet revealed that he was also in possession of hundreds of images and videos of child sexual abuse material while in Jefferson. On 9-23-2026, Saquet was arrested and booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center for 236 additional counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, with 233 of those counts being images and videos of children under the age of 13 being raped.

 This arrest was the result of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, New Orleans Police Department, U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force, and the Kenner Police Department.
