AG Liz Murrill Arrests Shreveport Man for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material
33-year-old Cody Dwon Daniels, of Chaparral Lane in Shreveport, was arrested Oct. 8, 2026, on the following charges:
RS 14:81 Indecent Behavior with Juveniles (2 counts)
RS 14:81.1 Possession of CSAM
Special Agents with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) arrested Cody Dwon Daniels, 33, of Shreveport, on charges related to the distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
The investigation began after LBI received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) concerning the online distribution of CSAM. Daniels was a reserve Deputy with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office.
"No one is above the law—and it’s even more egregious when
those sworn to uphold the law break the public’s trust," said Attorney General Liz Murrill. "I’d like to thank
Sheriff Whitehorn for his swift action and cooperation in our investigation."
Upon being notified of the investigation being conducted by LBI, Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office immediately terminated Daniels's employment and assisted in taking him into custody.
Daniels is booked at the Caddo Parish Correctional Center.
Bond is set at $300,000.
This arrest was the result of a joint investigation between the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation remains ongoing.
