Online Registration Instructions

The procedure for submitting a charity registration online is as follows:
  1. Download the Charitable Organization Registration Form or the Charitable Exemption Form
  2. Complete the fillable PDF form and save the completed copy
  3. Upload the completed Form and the requested supporting documentation in the fields provided below. (See the Charitable Organization Registration Checklist or Charitable Exemption Checklist for requested supporting documentation.)
  4. Pay the required registration fee(s).

    Electronic Payment of Fees: may be paid electronically at http://www.paystar.co. Discover, Visa, and Master Card are accepted. A nonrefundable online service fee in the amount of $1.00 plus 2.75% will be charged to the credit /debit card for registrants who choose to pay fee(s) and deposit electronically.

    Payments by mail: If registrants prefer, they may pay the required by check, without incurring an online service fee. Checks should be made payable to the “Louisiana Department of Justice” and mailed to the address listed below.
